About

Built for the businesses the consulting market forgot

Between £2m and £25m of turnover, a business is complex enough to have real structural problems and small enough that a large firm's fee structure makes no sense. That gap is the reason Nuub exists.

Why Nuub exists

Every engagement should leave the business stronger than we found it

The businesses that most need good advice are the least well served by the market for it. Above them sit firms whose economics require six-figure programmes. Below them sit agencies who will happily build whatever is asked for, without ever asking whether it is the right thing to build.

Our position is deliberately narrow: we diagnose the constraint, we quantify it in money, we agree what to do, and we help do it. We are equally willing to tell you that the thing you asked us to build is not the thing you need.

We work with a small number of clients at a time. That is a constraint on our own growth, and a deliberate one.

Why the Method exists

Because advice without diagnosis is guesswork

Most stalled businesses are not short of ideas. They are held back by one binding constraint that nobody has named or sized. The Nuub Method — Navigate, Understand, Unlock, Build — exists so that every engagement follows evidence rather than enthusiasm, and so that you can stop at any stage having gained something.

Why the Executive Network exists

Because removing a constraint takes operators, not slide decks

Once the constraint is named, the work needs someone who has run that function before at that scale. Rather than hire a generalist bench, we assemble senior operators — COO, CFO, CTO, NED and programme leadership — around the specific problem. They are invited, not advertised. Nuub scopes the work and holds one contract, so you never manage a marketplace.

Who leads the work

One named owner on every engagement

What the founder is accountable for, at any size

  • Owns the business outright
  • Writes and owns the Nuub Method
  • Sets the standard every engagement is judged against
  • Scopes and prices the work in writing, for now
  • Is the final escalation on any engagement

I built Nuub after watching the same pattern repeat in business after business between £2m and £25m of turnover: a capable team, a real market, and one primary constraint that nobody had named or sized. Large firms priced the work out of reach. Agencies offered to build whatever was asked for without asking whether it was the right thing to build.

So I built the thing I wanted to exist — a diagnostic that names the constraint and puts a number on it, an Executive Network of operators who have run the function before, and a commercial model where the work is priced before it starts.

I own the business outright and I write the method. Every engagement has one named owner — a senior Nuub person, currently me. Whoever holds that role, the standard is mine and I am the final escalation. You should always know exactly who is accountable.

What your engagement owner does

  • Reviews your constraint report before it reaches you
  • Confirms the executive Nuub OS matches to the work
  • Stays accountable for the agreed measure until it lands

Your assessment is produced by the Nuub engine from the answers you give, and reviewed by a named human before it reaches you. Nuub OS matches the executive from role, sector, evidence and capacity, and your engagement owner confirms the match. Where an executive from the Network delivers the work, Nuub stays accountable for it. There is no handover from the people who sold the work to the people who deliver it, and whoever owns your engagement, the founder is the final escalation.

Commitments

Three commitments, written as behaviour rather than sentiment

We name the constraint before we sell anything
The first piece of work is always diagnosis, and it is free. If the answer is that you do not need us, that is the answer you get.
We price the work before we start it
Fixed fee agreed in writing. No open-ended retainers, no day-rate drift, no invoice that arrives larger than the conversation.
We leave capability behind, not dependency
You own everything we produce, including the working files, and the people we bring in are there to make themselves unnecessary.
